The McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department recently received notice that a substantial area of our response territory would now be serviced by Squad 71, a county based fire department. We want very much to keep servicing this area, and ask that you sign the petition for McQueeney VFD to retain service to the area. Residents of the following areas may lose our protection:

Our shiny new fire engine pulled into the station on Friday, June 3rd. We’re excited to have such a fine piece of equipment to better serve our community!

McQueeney Volunteers and their families were treated to an evening social on Monday, May 30th, complete with taco bar, sides and desserts.

On Saturday, April 9th, area children were treated to a visit with the Easter Bunny, along with breakfast and fun activities with the McQueeney VFD volunteers!

On February 12th, the McQueeney VFD station opened its doors to neigborhood families to do valentine activities with the firefighters. The children made valentines, colored pictures and decorated cookies. They were also treated to all types of valentine snacks.

Bring the little ones to the McQueeney fire station on Saturday, the 12th, to celebrate Valentine’s Day!

Home Depot surprised the McQueeney VFD on Thursday with a $1000 donation! Accepting the donation were Chief Michael Wiedner and members of the department. Also shown are representatives from Home Depot.

On Saturday, December 11th, children from McQueeney and neighboring areas were treated to a Christmas party at Station #1. The children ate pancakes prepared by the McQueeney VFD volunteers, decorated ornaments and cookies, and had a chance to visit and have their pictures taken with Santa. Coloring pages and a jump castle were also available. The children enjoyed a fun morning with the McQueeney volunteers. The event was free, but donations were accepted.
